Summary of Recall:  Bolthouse Farms today announced in cooperation with a North Carolina Health Official it is voluntarily recalling Bolthouse Farms Carrot Chips due to possible contamination – salmonella.

Hazard: Salmonella is an organism that can cause a foodborne illness. Symptoms of infection include diarrhea, fever and abdominal cramps 12 to 72 hours after infection. The illness usually lasts four to seven days, and most persons recover without treatment.

What You Should Do: Consumers who have purchased the Bolthouse Farms Carrot Chips with those codes and best by dates should not eat the product. Consumers are encouraged to return the product to the store where they purchased it for an exchange or full refund.
