Summary of Recall:  Evenflo Company, Inc., announced in cooperation with the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration that it is voluntarily recalling select convertible car seats and harnessed booster seats due to the harness crotch buckle.

Product Description:  This U.S. recall involves seats that were built between 2011 and 2014, including select Momentum, Chase, Maestro, Symphony, Titan 65, SureRide, SecureKid, Snugli All-in-One and Snugli Booster models.

Hazard: The buckles, which meet all requirements for crashworthiness, may become resistant to unlatching over time, due to exposure to various contaminants (like food and drinks) that are present in everyday use of the seats by toddlers.

What You Should Do: Evenflo is providing to consumers who own affected seats a remedy kit, free of charge, that includes a replacement buckle and instructions for the installing the new buckle. The remedy kit is available by placing an order with Evenflo or calling 1-800-490-7591 .  If you are experiencing difficulty unlatching your buckle before your remedy kit arrives, cleaning the buckle should alleviate the difficulty. Instructions for cleaning can be found here. Consumer may also return this product to their nearest Meijer store for a full refund.
