Summary of Recall: Izzio Artisan Bakery is voluntarily withdrawing affected lots of Izzio Everything Sourdough 24 oz because it has the potential to be contaminated with plastic pieces. The plastic pieces can affect individuals eating the products. The withdrawal was as the result of a routine inspection which revealed that an ingredient used in the finished products contained the foreign objects. Izzio Artisan Bakery has ceased the production and distribution of the product as FDA and Izzio continue their investigation as to what caused the problem. No illnesses have been reported to date.
